Job Description
Are you a senior bilingual English and Mandarin-speaking professional with strong financial compliance or regulatory experience looking to take a step up in your career? Our client, a leading global investment bank, seeks a VP/ED-level Chief Compliance Officer based in Guangdong to head up a small compliance team and cover their expansion in China. Reporting to China Head of Compliance, you will advise on internal policies and external regulatory requirements with senior management and business units, manage regulatory interactions with regulators across China, and coordinate regulatory on-site inspections. Also, you will support senior management and stakeholders to be knowledgeable of the market and regulatory changes and their risk impacts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ on-shore experience working and interacting with regulators and have strong knowledge of commercial banking regulatory and compliance requirements in China. In addition, organized and strong communication skills combined with attention to detail to drive initiatives independently are highly desirable. Fluency in written and oral English and Mandarin is mandatory. REF: 16696/HI
